Mary Elizabeth Macke, 81, of Marshall, IL passed away 8:57 AM Thursday, Dec. 4, 2014 in Union Hospital at Terre Haute, IN.

She was born March 6, 1933 at Marshall, IL, the daughter of True and Lorene Guinnip Garwood. She was married to Wayne Macke who preceded her in death in 1973.

Surviving are her children, Susan Renee (Jeff) Comerford of O'Fallon, IL, Kent Alan Macke and special friend, Terri of Marshall, IL; Loretta Jane (Steve) Neal of Indianapolis, IN and Loren True (Cathy) Macke of Marshall, IL: grandchildren, Nicklaus Wayne Macke of Terre Haute, IN who she helped to raise and he resided with her until recently, Clark Patrick (Belinda) Comerford of Lacey, WA and Tyler (Abby) Comerford of Edwardsville, IL; a great grandchild, Addison Tyler Comerford of Edwardsville, IL; an aunt, Catherine Doggatt of Casey, IL; two nieces, one nephew, several cousins, in-laws and friends. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Kevin Wayne; an infant brother, Harold and a sister, Doris Jane Tingley.

Mary Elizabeth loved her children and grandsons dearly. She loved gardening, working in her flower garden, cooking and working in her church. She was a member of the First Christian Church and attended faithfully. She was a believer that Jesus Christ was her savior. She had been a member of the Singing Sams, G.M.C. of the First Christian Church and worked in the Cross Walk Program of the church.

Services in honor of her life will be 12 Noon Saturday at the First Christian Church with Bro. John Cutshall officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time Saturday at the church.
