Mary Faye Hollingsworth, 85, of Marshall, Illinois passed away surrounded by loved ones, Saturday, February 8, 2020 at Linda E. White Hospice House in Evansville, IN. Mary Faye was born in Tulsa, Oklahoma on April 7, 1934, the daughter of Noah Augustus Brown and Eunia Adelphia Welch Brown. Mary Faye, the archetype of what every Granny should be , loved her children and grandchildren unconditionally. Perhaps this is why we’re all ornery and devilishly good looking. She spent her life smiling and creating joy – whether it be by making dolls or telling stories to inspire HOPE and COMPASSION. Mary Faye is preceded in death by her loving husband, Victor E. Hollingsworth. She is survived by three children; Darrell Hollingsworth of Bloomington, Indiana, Dale Hollingsworth of Washington, Indiana and Darla Hall of Evansville, Indiana – not to mention six grandchildren and 16 great grandchildren. Mary Faye loved kids, laughter, crafting, good smelling candles and roosters. Lord, did she love her roosters. Visitation will be held at Pearce Funeral Home 5-8 PM Monday. Services honoring her life will be 11:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home with burial at Livingston Cemetery.
