Mary Jane Smith, 65, of Marshall, IL passed away 3:45 PM Wednesday, October 29, 2014 from the results of an accident south of Marshall.
She was born July 24, 1949 at Paris, IL, the daughter of Marion Tucker and Mary Pauline Gill Tucker. She married Everett Smith on March 17, 1972 at Paris, IL.
Surviving are her husband, Everett; four daughters, Sherri (Chris) Scott of Marshall, IL, Angie (Warren) Britt of Marshall, IL, Cathy (Joe) Vires of Glasford, IL and Debbie(Allan) Banfield of Marshall, IL; grandchildren, Cristy (Brad) Lagle, Jeremy Perry, Danielle (David) Tingley, Levi (Robbi) Lindley, Seth Lindley, Nick Scott, Morgan Britt and Kaleb Scott; two great grandchildren, Jakob Lagle and Charlie Britt; a sister, Norma Jean (Gayle) Gard of Martinsville, IL; four brothers, Albert (Linda) Tucker of Marshall, IL, Jim (Pat) Tucker of Marshall, IL, David Tucker of Marshall, IL and Dale (Mary Alice) Tucker of Greenup, IL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
Mary Jane was an active member of the Day Spring Full Gospel Church at Trimble, IL where she faithfully served the church and her Lord as a Sunday school teacher, song leader and many other aspects of the church. She volunteered much of her time to the Oblong Christian Children's Home. She was a 1967 graduate of Marshall High School.
Services in honor of her life will be 1:00 PM Sunday at Pearce Funeral Home with Pastor Larry McCormick officiating. Burial will be in the Livingston Cemetery, rural Marshall. Visitation will be 5-8 PM Saturday at the funeral home. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Day Spring Full Gospel Church.
