Michael Lewis Spittler, 87 years of age, passed away De. 5, 2025. He was the only son of B. Kelly Spittler and Thelma V. Gallatin Spittler, who he regarded as the greatest parents that ever lived. They instilled in him the value of honesty and a lifelong devotion to the gospel. Michael is survived by his six beloved children, all steadfast believers; Kim (Greg) Keyser, Kerry (Brad) Teague, Kris (Bob) Hickman, Kelli (Tim) Donhou, Michael Spittler and Matt (Yvonne) Spittler; 20 grandchildren, of whom he was immensely proud, Jordan (Jenni) Keyser, Meghan (David) Yandell, Ethan (Chynna) Keyser, Max Ryan Zschau, Andrew Zschau, Jacquelyn (Jared) Mathey, Jennifer Hickman, Jaylyn (Adam) Skinner, Janelle (Clayton) Pforr, Mallory (Dustin) Garner, Kendra (Cole) Braden, Riley Donhou, Faith Donhou, Karlee (Noah) Gilbert, Christian Donhou, Donavon Spittler, Tyler Spittler Jacob Spittler, Ayden Spittler and Mason Spittler . He also leaves behind 29 cherished great-grandchildren. Michael was preceded in by his beloved wife of 60 years, Carol Elizabeth Henderson Spittler, the most beautiful redhead who stood by his side with unwavering love. He is also survived by his devoted wife, Patsy Spittler, who he met later in life and with whom he shared many wonderful moments filled with love and joy. To any who may read this and doubt, Michael's enduring message is the gospel truth that defined his life: Jesus died on the cross, shed His blood, was buried, and rose again on the third day. He lives to greet us in eternity. Services in honor of his life will be 1:00 PM Monday, Dec. 8th at Pearce Funeral Home with Pastor Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will be in the Ridgelawn Cemetery at Martinsville. Visitation will be private. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
