Nancy Jean Salisbury, 84, of Dennison, IL passed away Monday, Dec. 6, 2021 at her home. She was born Aug. 24, 1937 at Chicago, IL, the daughter of Eugene F. Shambo and Yarmille Macha Shambo. In 1959 she married Dr. Charles P. Salisbury at Chicago, IL and he preceded her in death on Aug. 22, 1997. Surviving are two sons, Rhett (Barbara) Salisbury of Bloomington, IN and Mark Salisbury of Greenwood, IN and grandchildren, Kelly Salisbury, Daniel Salisbury, Aaron Salisbury, Rachael Nicole Salisbury and Joshua Robert Salisbury. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by two half brothers, Howard A. Clodfelter and Waldemar “Butch” Clodfelter. An individual of strong Christian faith, she was a member of Grace Lutheran Church of Paris, IL. Nancy was a graduate of the Cook County School of Nursing and had volunteered many hours at the Crisis Pregnancy Center at Paris, IL. She was very active in her church and constantly assisted her neighbors and church friends with everyday needs. Services in honor of her life and affirmation of her faith will be 12 Noon Monday, Dec. 13th at the Grace Lutheran Church at Paris, IL with Rev. Daniel Smith officiating. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until service time at the church on Monday. Graveside services will be 2:30 PM on Monday at the Dunlap Cemetery, rural Dennison.
