Orin Harold Washburn, 72, of Martinsville, IL passed away 6:01 PM Tuesday, Nov. 8, 2022 in Union Hospital at Terre Haute, IN. Orin was a true farmer, his love of the soil and farm life only followed his passion for his faith and family. He was born on July 7, 1950, the son of Harold and Mildred Nash Washburn. On Jan. 16, 1977 he married Judith L. Stine in the Macedonia Christian Church at St. James, IL. Surviving are his wife, Judy; two children, Matthew (Emily) Washburn of Coffeyville, KS and Julie (Dusty) Burk of Springfield, IL; a daughter-in-law, Megan Washburn of Bloomington, IL; grandchildren, Rex Washburn, Anna Washburn, Elyn Washburn, Blythe Burk, and Case Burk, and a sister, Kay (Tom) Gallatin of Houston, TX, and many other relatives and friends. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a son, Brenton Washburn and a sister, Marion Gross. He was a faithful member of the Martinsville First Christian Church and he truly loved watching sporting events, especially those that his children and grandchildren participated in. Services in honor of his life will be 10:00 AM Saturday at the Martinsville First Christian Church with Pastor Randy Murphy officiating. Burial will be in the Wesley Chapel Cemetery, rural Martinsville. Visitation will be 4:00 to 7:00 PM Friday at the church.
