Patricia A. Rankins, 83, of Marshall, IL passed away 1:27 AM Saturday, Jan. 10th, 2026 in the comfort of her daughter’s home in Terre Haute, IN with family by her side. Pat was born March 17, 1942 at Marshall, IL, the daughter of George and Thelma Griffin Hollingsworth. On Dec. 14, 1961 she married Kenneth W. Rankins and he preceded her in death on Dec. 17, 2022. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a daughter, Darlena Wallace; a grandson, Adam Kraemer and her siblings, Jay Hollingsworth, Jerry Hollingsworth, Jerald Hollingsworth, Joanne Clark, Jean Bishop and Janice Hollingsworth. Surviving are three daughters, Paula (Tom) Cline of Marshall, IL, Judy (Stan) Kraemer of Terre Haute, IN and Lisa (Mark) Dill of Marshall, IL, IL; eight grandchildren, Darcy (Crystal) Kraemer, Alissa (Nick) Huffington, Scott (Danielle) Cline, April (Rob) Cundiff, Ashley (Jason) Borst, Hunter (Tevy) Dill, Jordan (Ian) Dill and Denise (Craig) Berthold; 15 great grandchildren,3 great great grandchildren; a sister, June Helmhostz of St. Peters, MO and several cousins, nieces, nephews and friends. Pat was a graduate of Marshall High School. She had formerly been employed by TRW, Oscars and retired from the Marshall IGA after 13 years of service. In addition to her jobs outside of the home, she and her husband lived and worked on the farm they owned and she dearly loved her family. Services in honor of her life will be 10:30 AM Friday, Jan. 16th at Pearce Funeral Home with Pastor Larry Snyder officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Thursday at the funeral home. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall Cemetery Association or to Hospice of the Wabash Valley.
