Patricia K. Rhoads, 83, of Marshall, IL passed away 6:37 AM Thursday, Jan. 30, 2025 at her home with family by her side. She was born Aug. 19, 1941 at Gary, IN, the daughter of Arthur W. and Joye L. Marvin Monk. On July 7, 1961 she married William E. Rhoads Sr. at Marshall, IL and he preceded her in death on May 27, 2018. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by her parents and a sister, Dorothy Farris. Surviving are three children, Bill (Lori) Rhoads, Mike (Dee Dee) Rhoads and Jeanenna (Roy)Sanders; grandchildren, Will (Katelyn) Rhoads III, Brandi (Brittany) Rhoads, Ryan (Shelby) Hefner, Dalton (Karlee) Hefner, Connor (Zoey) Hefner, Kelsie (Kenny) Rhoads, Emma Sanders, Macey Sanders and Artie (Yessenia) Monk; great grandchildren, Brynleigh Rhoads, Braxton Rhoads, Brooke Rhoads, Bowen Rhoads, Felicity Rhoads, Reid Rhoads, Kale Platt, Kayzlee Platt, Kenna Jo Platt, Brayleigh Thompson, Briyleigh Thompson, Owen Hefner, Roman Hefner, Ridlee Hefner, Oliver Hefner, Macie Joye Monk, William Monk and Liam Monk; a sister, Marilyn Burba; a brother, Gerald (Margaret) Monk and several nieces and nephews. She was a homemaker, had worked at FS for several years, Zenith, Flowers John Deere Sales, Lloyd & Donna Claypool Amway for 18 years, First Bank and Trust for 5 years and the Clarksville Mutual Phone Co. for many years. She was well known for being the owner of the Millcreek Restaurant. Organizations that she had worked with were White Shrine, Clark Co. Extension, Little League Baseball, PTA, Jobs Daughters as Guardian, 4-H for 20 years and was a leader for 12 years, Half Fast Square Dance Club, Eunice Club, Past President and helped organize the Clark County Optimist Club, helped found the Marshall Autumn Fest and served on the committee for 26 years, lifetime member of the Clark County Historical Society, member of the Great Banquet, AMVETS Auxiliary, Bunco Club that she helped start in 1968, helped start Christmas in Marshall and served on that committee for five years and Order of the Eastern Star. She was a member of the Bell Ridge Christian Church where she taught the little kids and assisted in the nursery. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Monday at Pearce Funeral Home. Services in honor of her life will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at the funeral home with Matt Willis officiating. Burial will be in the Clarksville Cemetery.
