Phyllis E. Pruiett, 87, of Marshall, IL passed away 4:40 PM Sunday, August 24, 2014 in Presence Heritage Village at Kankakee, IL.

She was a retired administrative secretary of the TRW facility at Marshall. She was born Oct. 19, 1926 at Terre Haute, IN, the daughter of Ward La Rue and Rosanna Wallace La Rue. She married Charles E. Pruiett on Dec. 29, 1946 at Marshall, IL and he preceded her in death on Jan. 11, 2006. Surviving are a daughter, Mary Ann (Tom) Zasada of St. Anne, IL; three grandchildren, Mike (Kelly) Zasada of Cortland, IL, Kevin (Tara) Zasada of Orlando, FL and Jennifer (Special Friend - Mark Kienlen) Zasada of Kirkwood, MO and a great grandchild, Aryssa Zasada of Rhinelander, WS. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her brother, Richard.

Phyllis loved to weed and watch Soap Operas. She truly loved working in her yard and making it one to be admired.

Services in honor of her life will be 11:00 AM Saturday, Sept. 6, 2014 at Pearce Funeral Home with Pastor Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will be beside her husband at the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:00 AM until service on Saturday. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall Cemetery Association.
