Phyllis Y. Pancake, 81, of Marshall, IL passed away 12:30 AM Wednesday, Sept. 21, 2022 at her home. She was born March 2, 1941 at Clarksville, IL, the daughter of Denver and Dorothy Phillips Sims. On Sept. 30, 1967 she married Jack W. Pancake and he survives. Also surviving are children, Todd (Robin) Pancake of Marshall, Larry (Clara) Morton of Noblesville, IN, Tony (Libby) Pancake of Zionsville, IN and Blue Pancake of Marshall; grandchildren, Chole, Cory, Bobby, Michael, Miranna, Allie, T.J., Trent, Annabelle, Andres, Lucas, Nick and Cody; great grandchildren, Taylor, Connor, Rowen, Layla, Addie, Keonna, Kendrick, Prosper Jane, Eli and Radnor; a sister, Donna Chaney of Paris, IL; two brothers, John Sims of Paris, IL and Jack Sims of Clarksville and several nieces and nephews. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by two daughters, Tracy McGinnis and Yvonne Morton; a brother, George Sims and two sisters, Wilma Miller and Romona Reed. Phyllis was a member of the Marshall Baptist Church and a member of O.E.S. Chapter #739 of Marshall for over 50 years. She was a 1959 graduate of Marshall High School and had been employed at Meis of Terre Haute, IN. A public memorial service and Eastern Star Services will be held 2:00 PM Saturday, Oct. 1st at Pearce Funeral Home. A private burial will be following the funeral service at Clarksville Cemetery.
