Randall A. Miller, 85, of Marshall, IL passed away 9:45 AM Thursday in the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care in Terre Haute, IN. He was born Nov. 23, 1939 in rural Clark Co., IL, the son of Lannie and Helen M. Mason Miller. Surviving are his wife, Carol Kemper Miller who he married Nov. 23, 1960; two daughters, Cindi (Tim) Miles of Marshall, IL and Lana (Jason) Manes of Crown Point, IN; grandchildren Zach (Taylor) Manes, Josh Manes, Kaleb (Heather) Miles and Chelbi Miles; great grandchildren, Amelia Manes, Mazie Manes, Adelyn Hargis, Ella Miles and Claire Miles and a brother, Eli Miller of Marshall. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a sister, Hilda Miller. He retired from U.S. Steel at Gary, IN after 25 years of service and following moving back to Marshall, he became the Animal Control Office for 20 years. Randy was a member of the Coon Hunter’s Club, Clark County Sportmen’s Club and the NRA. He enjoyed fishing, deer hunting, coon hunting and mushroom hunting. He could usually be found at the Marshall Family Resturant shooting the bull with his buddies and when asked by his family where he was going he usually told them he was going to see a man about a dog. Visitation will be 12 Noon until 2:00 PM, April 6th with a service in honor of his life at 2:00 PM at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will follow in the Marshall Cemetery.
