Reba M. Poorman, 95, of Marshall, IL passed away 5:15 PM Thursday, May 22, 2014 in the Burnsides Community Care Center at Marshall. She, along with her husband, owned and operated Poorman's Grocery in Marshall for several years. She was born in Clark Co., IL on Sept. 19, 1918, the daughter of Lyman and Lillian Barnes Campbell. She married Henry Poorman at Ashland, KY in 1937 and he preceded her in death in 1977. Surviving are a son, Richard (Sue) Poorman of Marshall, IL; two daughters, Barbara Brown of Terre Haute, IN and Dorothy (Larry) Auler of Terre Haute, IN; seven grandchildren, Debra (Barry) Leitch of Marshall, IL, Anthony Poorman of Marshall, IL, Amy Auler of Terre Haute, IN, Scott (Theresa) Auler of Terre Haute, IN, Troy Brown of Florida, Todd (Bethany) Brown of Ft. Wayne, IN and Chris (Lori-Special Friend) of Ft. Wayne, IN and four great grandchildren, Chad Leitch, Katie Leitch, Allison Auler and Evan Brown. In addition to her husband, she was preceded in death by three brothers, Allen Campbell, Norman Campbell and John Campbell and three sisters, Ruby Campbell, Helen Rhoads and Ruth Baggs Siverly. She retired as a baker from the cafeteria of Marshall School district and in her earlier years, she loved to bowl. Services in honor of her life will be 10:30 AM Tuesday at Pearce Funeral Home with Rev. David Deal officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Monday at the funeral home. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall Lions Cub to assist with help for the visually impaired.
