Rhea Jean Davison , 89, of Marshall, IL passed away 6:00 AM Saturday, April 24, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family. Jean was born August 15, 1931 in York Twp. of Clark County, IL, the daughter of Garnet and Carrie Kenderdine Ogle. She married Bernard Paul Davison on Aug. 15, 1948 and he preceded her in death on October 13, 2011. In addition to her parents and husband, she was preceded in death by a brother, Lee “Skeet” Ogle and a brother-in-law, Dick Chapman. Surviving are three children, Mike (Cathy) Davison of Annapolis, IL, Terri (Bill) Reynolds and Mark (Becky) Davison both of West Union, IL; two brothers, Mac (Lois) Ogle of Shumway, IL and Tony (Terri) Ogle of Martinsville, IL; a sister, Dee Chapman of Marshall, IL; a sister-in-law, Pat Ogle of Marshall, IL; eleven grandchildren, twenty two great grandchildren and a 23rd grandchild due in October of 2021. She was a member of the West Union Baptist Church where she served on several committees, taught the children’s class, helped with Bible School and served as the Sunday School secretary for 19 years. She was also a member of the Eastern Star where she served as Worthy Matron and then as President of the Past Matron Club. One of her true qualities was the love that she had for her family. Services in honor of her life will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Pearce Funeral Home with Steve Dolson officiating. Burial will be in the Ohio Cemetery, rural West Union, IL. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. It is requested that all those in attendance practice Covid 19 restrictions.
