Robert A. “Buck” Weaver, 89, of Marshall, IL passed away 9:47 AM Monday, June 1, 2020 in Life’s Journey Senior Living at Paris, IL. He was born May 4, 1931 in Marshall, IL, the son of Aaron and Clova Campbell Weaver. He married Sally Jo Redman on March 21, 1952 at San Antonio, TX and she preceded him in death on June 27, 2017. In addition to his wife and parents, he was preceded in death by his siblings, Leland Weaver, Marion Weaver, Dorothy Lashbrook, Louise Becker and Don Weaver. Surviving are three daughters, Cathy Ann Weaver of Centralia, IL, Cynthia (Brad) Aussieker of Lincoln, IL and Chris (John) Rice of New Baltimore, MI; grandchildren, Brian Aussieker, Cara Maskell, Jerad Rice and Jeff Rice and great grandchildren, Liam Aussieker, Claire Aussieker, Mila Maskel, Marek Maskel and Aayla Aussieker. Buck served this nation in the U.S. Air Force and was a member of VFW Post #5975 and Clark county Post #90 of the American Legion. He was a member of the First United Methodist Church of Marshall, was a member of Clark Co. Democrats and was a true and loyal St. Louis Cardinals fan. For many years he was employed by the Velsicol Chemical Plant at Marshall. After Velsicol closed he went to work at Sears where he was employed until his retirement. Private services will be held Saturday at Pearce Funeral Home with Rev. Robert Sabo officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery with military graveside rites. Public visitation will be 12:00 to 2:00 PM Saturday with Covid 19 Guidelines being observed.
