Robert E. Sweitzer, 69, of Marshall, IL passed away Saturday, August 1, 2020 at his home. For 30 years he was employed at the former Custom Films of Marshall and was retired from Yargust Mfg. Bob was born August 11, 1950 at Terre Haute, IN, the son of Floyd Dean Sweitzer and Margaret Maxine Beltz Sweitzer. He married the former Mary Ann Day Kiger on June 19, 1994 in Marshall. Surviving are his wife, Mary Ann; children, Amy Sweitzer of Phoenix, AZ, Robert (Stacey) Kiger of Terre Haute, IN, Melissa Macke of Marshall, IL, Robert Sweitzer of Kansas City, MO, Trena Trefz of Marshall, IL and Justin (Jesi) Sweitzer of Oblong, IL; grandchildren, Kendall, Devin, Savannah, Bailey, Bella, Shealynn, Zaylee, Sydney, Maddison, Gunner, Austin, Jaceton, Javen, Judah, Jasper, Alister and Abbott; siblings, Gerald (Billie) Sweitzer, David Sweitzer both of Marshall, IL and Peggy (Randy) Schiflett of Oklahoma, OK; a special friend, Jeff Trefz and several nieces and nephews. In addition to his parents he was preceded in death by a very special friend of many years, Larry Jackson. Bob loved to deer and mushroom hunt and he enjoyed fishing. He truly loved his special truck which he spent many hours working on, but his main love was his family who will miss him dearly for all of the wonderful times they shared. He was a 1968 graduate of Marshall High School. A public graveside service will be held 10:00 AM Saturday, August 15 at the Livingston Cemetery. A private visitation will be held at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall. COVID 19 GUIDELINES WILL BE FOLLOWED.
