Shirley was born in South Bend, Indiana. She moved to Clark County, Marshall and lived in a log cabin as a child, that is now located in Vigo County, Pioneer Village. She lived in Colorado in her life as well. But her heart was always in Marshall. Her career was filled with factory work, Frito Lay, Brico Metal, GKN and taking care of others. She will be truly missed by her family and friends. Shirley was a beautiful and spirited soul. She was a mother who worked incredibly hard. She was very proud of her children and loved her family. She was a passionate Uno player, and loved to travel. She adored her great grandchildren. She was quick to give smirks and a chuckle. She loved to camp, fish and hunt. She taught people around her to fish. There have been many midnight catfishing trips. Many family members learned how to fish by her leadership. She loved to hop on her mower and mow. She was a spitfire and a joy to be around. She loved to sew, completing dresses for her granddaughter along with many wonderful quilts and table runner projects. She loved to be on the go, to see new and exciting things. She attended the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter Day Saints in Paris, Illinois. Services in honor of her life will be 12 Noon Saturday, January 10th at Pearce Funeral Home. Visitation will be 10:00 AM until 12:00 PM prior to the service. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery.
