Shirley Gunther, 86 of Terre Haute Indiana passed away at 1:30 p.m. Sunday, August 2nd 2026 at her residence. She was born January 4th, 1940 at Marshall, Illinois. She was born to Ralph Kibler and Florence Drake Kibler on March 30th 1962. She married Douglas M Gunther at the Clarksville Baptist Church and he proceeded her in death on October 3rd, 2018.Surviving are a son. Kirk (Donna) Gunther of Muncie, Indiana; a daughter, Karla (David) Snowden of Terre Haute, Indiana. Grandchildren Ryan (Bethany) Gunther, Adam (Lisa) Gunther, Austin (Abby) Gunther, Abigail and Gabe Cicotte, Christopher (Alyssa) Snowden, Zachary (Katie) Snowden, Josh (April) Snowden.Great-Grandchildren, Janelle, Andy, Ellie, Liam, Addy, Evelyn, Alex, Chayton, Kaiden, Carter, Bailey, Ellie Mae, Oliver, Brianna, Kaylee, Joshua, Riley, Paisley and Sailor. One she thought of as a granddaughter, Melissa Mackey and her daughter's Zaylee and Sydney. She is survived by a sister Patsy Van Tassel and a brother John (Bunny) Kibler. She is also survived by many nieces and nephews. She is also survived by a brother-in-law David Gunther. In addition to her husband and parents, she was pre-ceded in death by a grandson, Jeremy Snowden, a sister-in-law Verna Gunther, and two brothers-in-law Ivan Van Tassel and Daniel Gunther. She had formally attended Clarksville Baptist Church and was a graduate of Martinsville High School. Shirley dearly loved her family and cherished the moments she was able to spend with her children and grandchildren and truly loved visits from the Great Grandbabies.The family would also like to thank the Staff and all caregivers at Wyndmoor Assisted Living for wonderful care and attention given to Shirley during her time there. Services in honor of her life will be 2:00 PM (Central) Time Saturday, August 8th, at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall, IL. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be one-hour prior services. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Shirley's honor to the charity of your choice.
