Steve Bedwell, 44, of Marshall, IL passed away 5:30 AM Tuesday, May 7, 2015 at the residence of his mother at Terre Haute, IN following an extended illness.

Prior to his illness he was employed as a purchasing agent for Coneqtec at Carbon, IN. Steve was born June 16, 1970 at Mattoon, IL.

Surviving are his mother, Joann Bedwell of Terre Haute, IN; his father, Jack Bedwell of Marshall, IL and several aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends throughout the community.

He was serving as an assistant baseball coach for the Marshall High School Lions and had coached several area traveling baseball teams. He was a 1988 graduate of Marshall High School and had received an associate degree from Ivy Tech. He was a true and loyal New York Yankees and Kansas City Chiefs fan.

Services in honor of his life will be 1:00 PM Saturday at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall with Rev. Krista Price officiating. Burial will be in the Auburn Cemetery, rural Marshall with members of the Marshall Lions High Baseball team serving as pallbearers. Visitation will be 5-7 PM Friday at the funeral home.
