Steven Wayne Lycan, 67, of Robinson, IL passed sway Sunday, March 8, 2015 in the Edward Hospital at Naperville, IL.
He had been a farmer in Clark and Crawford Counties. Steve was born June 26, 1947 at Terre Haute, IN, the son of Grendell Wayne Lycan and Ruth Jeanette Morgan Lycan. He married Patricia Ann Wetherholt on Dec. 9, 1972 at Palestine, IL.
Surviving are his wife; a son, Justin Lycan and his fianc̩e, JoEllen Russell of Robinson, IL; a daughter, Heather Culicchia and her husband Robert of Naperville, IL; two grandchildren, Myelle Culicchia and Lucas Culicchia; a sister, Penny Lycan of Robinson, IL and several other relatives and friends.
He was a member of the Clarksville Baptist Church, the Hardy Boys Coffee Club, Masonic Lodge #849 AF&AM of Palestine, the Ainaid Shrine Temple and American Legion Post #69 of Robinson. He was a graduate of Marshall High School and attended Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, IL which during his time at Carbondale he was drafted into the US Army and served this nation in Viet Nam.
Services in honor of his life will be 10:30 AM Thursday at Pearce Funeral Home, 314 S. 6th St., Marshall, IL with Bro. Jeff Loper officiating. Burial will be in the Clarksville Cemetery, rural Marshall with and military rites conducted by American Legion Post #69 and VFW Post #4549. Visitation will be 3-7 PM Wednesday at the funeral home and also prior services on Thursday. Masonic services will be accorded 7:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
