Tom Norton, 61, of Marshall, IL passed away unexpectedly Tuesday, Oct. 4, 2016 in rural Marshall.

He was retired as a Regional Repairman for CSX Railroad after 41 years of service and had served as Union President for many years.

Tom was born Sept. 22, 1955 at Terre Haute, IN, the son of Dale C. and Violet Staggs Norton. He married Donna Burnam on Aug. 22, 1975 at Marshall, IL. Surviving are his wife; a son, Garry (Melinda) Norton of Marshall; a daughter, Jenny (Christopher Carlisle) Norton; three grandchildren, Evelynne Norton, Madilynn Norton and Thomas Dale Norton as well as aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Tom loved the farm and was a member of the Clark Co. Antique Power Club, Tri-County Tractor Club and the Bi-County Tractor Cruse Committee and he was an avid Chicago Bears Fan.

Services in honor of his life will be 10:30 AM Saturday at Pearce Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Duke officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 3-7 PM Friday and prior services on Saturday at the funeral home.
