Travis Desmond Wilson, 49, of Normal, IL, formerly of Marshall, IL passed away 8:40 AM Friday, August 11, 2023 . He was under Hospice Care at McLean County Nursing Home in Normal, IL. He had been diagnosed with Soft Tissue Sarcoma on December 14, 2022 after noticing some pain and selling in his thigh. He was born in Terre Haute, IN on July 11, 1974, the son of Dwight L. and Nancy K. Wilson of Marshall, IL. He was preceded in death by both paternal and maternal grandparents. He is survived by his chosen partner, loving fianc'e and final caretaker, Chandra Smith and her son James Dorsman of Normal, IL; his daughter, Mia Ingram Ingram of Newburgh, IN; his aforementioned parents; his sister, Tammy (Jamie) Lowe of Mashall, IL; his brother, Tracy (Dottie with Kelly Lientz, Sabrina Staten and Jenn Miller) Wilson of Rockville, IN, nieces Amber (Curtis with Kale and Kolton) Mason of Marshall, IL, Jess (Shawna with Bexley) Lowe of Marshall, IL, Christina (Johnny) Faver of Hamilton, OH; a nephew, Charles Wilson of Rockville, IN; great-nieces, Jersey Lowe and Paizlee Mason and great-nephew Jasper Warner all of Marshall, IL. He had a lifelong best friend, Ben Washburn of Saint Robert, MO, who was present for Travis on the final watch. Travis was a Marine, an avid bowler, beer connoisseur and enjoyed wrenching on Harley's (His dream job that he one held at Chuck's Harley-Davidson in Bloomington, IL until the store closed). Visitation is planned for Sunday, August 20, 2023 at 1:00 PM with a funeral service at 3:00 PM at Pearce Funeral Home. Burial with military graveside rites will follow at the Marshall Cemetery.
