Travis Lee Weir formerly of Berlin, Germany and Martinsville, IL died after a long battle with brain cancer on September 30, 2014 in Marshall, IL.

Travis was born to Terry and Silvia Weir on August 20, 1987 in Backnang, Germany. He is survived by his parents of Marshall, IL; his sister, Nicole Weir and Mary Hallerman of Washington D.C.; his special friend, Julie Krauniski of Berlin, Germany; his grandmothers, Nadine Weir of Marshall, IL and Christa Weidenhammer of Berlin, Germany; his uncles and aunts, Jim and Janet Weir of Martinsville, IL and Detlef and Claudia Weidenhammer of Kleinmachnow, Germany; his cousins, Lucas Weir of Marshall, IL, Nathan Weir of Terre Haute, IN and Timo and Tanja Weidenhammer of Kleinmachnow, Germany.

Travis graduated from Martinsville High School in 2005 and shortly thereafter was diagnosed with brain cancer. He graduated from Lincoln Christian University with a degree in Philosophy in 2009. He attended the University of Hamburg in Germany working on his M.A. in Politics, Economics and Philosophy.

It was Travis' expressed wished there would be no visitation, funeral or memorial service. Travis spent much of the last 4 years traveling throughout Europe where he enjoyed meeting new people, learning new cultures and seeing various historical sites.
