Marshall, IL Virginia Lee (Vice) Cook, 84, of Marshall, IL went to be with the Lord at 4:03 pm, February 14, 2024 and to join her beloved husband Bill. Virginia was born on February 20, 1939 on JP Carter Tenant farm, Buck Township, Edgar County, IL.., the daughter of Tom and Freda (Snedeker) Vice. On September 5, 1959, she was married to William L. (Bill) Cook.at Redmon,IL. Virginia was employed at Form-a-lite in Marshall. After marriage, She became a farm wife and devoted Mother. She and Bill were foster parents to many children throughout their years. She also worked at King”s Catering. Burnsides Nursing Home activity department and St. Mary of the Woods activity department. She loved all the residents and was known for making many loaves of banana bread as treats for them and for friends and neighbors. Virginia was a member of First Congregational Church, Marshall, IL. She loved her lord and savior. Virginia’s mother, Freida, passed away when Virginia was nine years old and her father then married Betty Agan Vice. Virginia then gained a wonderful, loving step mother. In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, Bill, and her brother Kenneth Snedeker and sister Leanne Zachary. Survivors include her step mother Betty Swinford and her sister, Delores Sahba, a brother Tom Vice, a daughter, Cheryl (Wade) Neibarger; two sons Bill (Karin) Cook Jr., and Jamie (Pearl) Cook; Grandchildren Megan (Brian) Metzke, Anna (Jamie) Sullivan, Kaitlin Neibarger, Adam (Nicole) Cook, Mallory (Jordan) Simonton, Luke Cook, Brodee (Ana) Cook, Jakob (Julianne) Cook, great grandchildren Drake and Grant Metzke, Kayleigh and Kiera Sullivan, Sophia and Maggie Cook, Palm and Harbor Cook, Will and Harrison Simonton. Funeral Services will be held at 12:00 Saturday February 17, 2024 at the Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall, IL with Rev Tim Duke Officiating, Visitation will be form 10:00 AM until service time. Burial will follow in Marshall Cemetery. Memorial contributions may be made to the VFW Post #5975 or to the Marshall Schools Foundation.
