Warren Dale Horsley, 66, of Marshall, IL passed away 9:34 AM Saturday, April 27, 2019 in Union Hospital at Terre Haute, IN. He was retired mail carrier of the US Postal Service and also from farming. On July 12, 1952 at Terre Haute, IN, he was born the son of Hubert D. and Barbara A. Deer Horsley. His parents as well as a nephew, Andy Horsley, preceded him in death. Surviving are his wife, Kathleen Gore Horsley who he married July 1, 1977 at Marshall, IL; two sons, Shane Horsley and Lane Horsley both of Marshall; a brother, Darrell (Lynetta) Horsley of Marshall; sisters, Sue Ann (Mike) Gustafson of Dennison, IL, Teena Calvert of Marshall and Tammy (Gary) Hewitt of Martinsville, IL and several nieces, nephews and cousins. Warren Dale will always be remembered as a tease and tormentor of family and friends. He loved flowers and gardening. He was a faithful member of the Armstrong United Methodist Church, a 1970 graduate of Marshall High School, Antique Power Club, Marshall Lions Club, Old Guys With Hot Rods, Country Kitchen Coffee Club and had been a member of the former Half Fast Square Dance Club. Services in honor of his life will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Pearce Funeral Home with Pastors Adam Penn and John Cross officiating. Burial will be in the So. Vigo “Black” Cemetery, rural Marshall. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Tuesday evening. For those desiring memorial contributions may be made to the United Methodist Men, Marshall Public Library or Antique Power Club.
