Wayne A. Cassady, 75, of Marshall, IL passed away 11:30 PM Saturday, Sept. 7, 2019 at his home following an extended illness. He was retired from the IL Cereal Mills at Paris, IL and was a farmer. Wayne was born Dec. 7, 1943, the son of Wayne J. and Jessie L. Kelley Cassady. He married Sue Harbor on April 2, 1965. Surviving are his wife, Sue; children, Doug (Cynthia) Cassady of Edwardsville, IL, Jenny (Tony) Williams of Marshall, IL and Mark (Erin) Cassady of Sellersburg, IN; grandchildren and great grandchildren, Kylee & Chris Francisco and son Rown, Kierstyn Cassady and son Jackson, Joel Cassady, Kasey Cassady, Brailey Cassady, Ashton Williams, Shelby and Ryan Slater and Gillian Lewis; a sister, Amy Cornwell of Winnebago, IL and a brother, Steve Cassady of Mattoon, IL. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by a brother, Mike Cassady. He was a faithful member of the Clarksville Baptist Church. A graduate of Marshall High School in 1963, he was a member of the track team and was on the relay team which participated in the state finals. He loved to mushroom hunt and was very devoted to his family. Services in honor of his life will be 11:30 AM Tuesday at the Clarksville Baptist Church, rural Marshall, IL. Burial will be in the Clarksville Cemetery. Visitation will be 9:30 AM until service time at the church.
