Willard Stanley Davis, 91, of Marshall, IL passed away Monday, Feb. 14, 2022 in Southwood Healthcare Center at Terre Haute, IN. He was a retired farmer and had formerly driven a bus for the Martinsville, IL School District. During his lifetime he had worked at other various places. He was born Jan. 21, 1931 in Dolson Twp., Clark Co., IL, the son of Roe Elbert and Effie Elizabeth Hutchens Davis. On Nov. 27, 1955 he married Lila June Morgan at the Five Points Christian Church. Surviving are his wife, Lila June; a son, Darrell (Lisa) Davis of Marshall; a daughter, Cheryl L. Murdoch of Pelham, AL; grandchildren Derek (Tyler) Davis, Mindy (Brady) Newbold, Bruce (Kim) Murdoch, Logan Murdoch and Colton Murdoch and nine great grandchildren. In addition to his parents, he was preceded in death by two sisters, Naomi Lucille Phillips and Rosalie Richey and four great grandchildren. He was a member of the Five Points Christian Church and the Martinsville American Legion. He loved antique tractor pulling and cutting wood. A 1949 graduate of Martinsville High School he loved being around children and dogs. Services in honor of his life will be 11:00 AM Saturday, Feb. 19th at the Five Points Christian Church with Pastor Kurt Speece officiating. Burial will be in the Green Moss Cemetery with military graveside rites. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Friday at Pearce Funeral Home and one-hour prior services at the church on Saturday.
