He is survived by his wife, Deanie (Holmes) of 45 years, his daughter Haily and son-in-law Jason and two beloved fur babies. He graduated High School in Terre Haute, IN in 1961, and was proud to tell people he played baseball with Tommy John in high school. Bill went on to serve in the U.S. Air Force for 8 years where he became an MP and trained German Shepherds in the K9 Unit. A lifetime sports lover, Bill played basketball and baseball in high school and again in the Air Force. He would go on to play fast pitch softball in the Terre Haute Men’s League where he was later inducted into the Terre Haute Fast Pitch Softball Hall of Fame. When he moved on from his playing years he became active running and coaching in the girls and women’s leagues in the area. For many years, his traveling teams won several titles over the years, while helping to develop talent he was extremely proud of. Later in life he became an avid golfer and spent as many days on the golf course as possible. On days when he couldn’t, he could be found watching old western movies or supporting one of his favorite teams like the New York Yankees or the Colts. Bill was a member of Clark Co.
