William E. "Bill" Sanders, 77, of Marshall, IL passed away 10:13 AM Thursday, Dec. 4, 2025 in Willow Brook in Marshall. He was born Aug. 11, 1948 at Paris, IL, the son of Luther Sanders and Gladys Paulsen Sanders who preceded him in death as well as brothers, Everett, John, James Dean and Gerald. He married Mi Chong Sin in 1970 in Korea. Surviving are his wife; two sons, Billy (Nicole) Sanders of Marshall, IL and Mike Sanders of Martinsville, IL; grandchildren, Kyle Sanders and his fiancee' Marissa Kershner; Ashley Sanders, Brianna Sanders and Mackenzie Sanders; two brothers, Camie (Marilyn) Sanders and Phillip (Willow) Sanders; several nieces, nephews and cousins.Bill served this nation in the U.S. Army as a paratrooper serving in Korea. He was a member of VFW Post #5975, Freedom Baptist Church, the Moose Lodge and was a graduate of Martinsville High School. He was a super Green Bay Packer fan, loved mushroom hunting, fishing, hunting and rabbit hunting with his uncles and golfing. Bill also loved to watch his grandchildren play sports and always enjoyed car rides. Visitation will be 12 Noon to 2:00 PM Tuesday at Pearce Funeral Home with a service in honor of his life at 2:00 PM. His nephew, Luke Sanders will officiate. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery with military graveside rites. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Clark County Animal Shelter.
