William W. Warner, 89, of Marshall, IL passed away Friday, July 12, 2019 at his home. Bill was a meat cutter for 35 years prior to his retirement. He had worked at Kroger and later Red & White. He was born Dec. 1, 1929 at Terre Haute, IN, the son of Cyril and Minnie Warner. He was first married to Yolanda M. “Tiny” Stornaiuolla who passed away in 1988. He later Married Mildred Isaacs Barkley and she survives. Also surviving are a son, Eugene (Jeanette) Warner of Marshall, IL; a nephew who is raised as a son, James (Wendy) Warner Jr. of Excelsor, MN; step children, Diana Hojem of Dennison, IL and Melvin Barkley Jr. of Veedersburg, IN; a granddaughter, Monica Warner; the children of James Warner who he considered as grandchildren, Heidi Lorraine Saunders of Texarkana, TX, Jill Louann Wooley of Lodi, WS and step grandchildren, Christina (Larry) Hollingsworth, Michelle (Brice) Cassagne; several great grandchildren and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by four brothers, Louis Warner, Jack Warner, Jim Warner and Dean Warner. He loved woodworking and fishing. He served this nation in the U.S. Air Force for 3 years. Services in honor of his life will be 3:00 PM Wednesday at Pearce Funeral Home. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be after 1:00 PM Wednesday at the funeral home.
