Betty J. Myers, 93, of Marshall, IL passed away Saturday, Aug. 22,2026 in the Gibson Family Center for Hospice Care at Terre Haute, IN. She was born May 11, 1933 at the family home near Clarksville of Clark County, IL, the daughter of Truman and Opal Kirchner Murphy. On May 22, 1953, she married Harold Dean Myers at Clarksville and he preceded her in death on Nov. 10, 2019. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a brother, William. Surviving are a son, Mike (Michelle) Myers of Marshall, IL; grandchildren, Tyler (Bailey) Myers, Blane Shumaker and Monica Joab all of Marshall and two great grandchildren, Mariah Joab and Macey Myers. She and her husband were farmers in the Clark Co., IL area where they not only planted and harvested crops but raised livestock as well. Betty was a graduate of Marshall High School and was a member of the Marshall Women's Club and American Legion Auxiliary. Services in honor of her life will be 11:00 AM Thursday at Pearce Funeral Home with Bob Miller officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery.
