Brent A. Walters, 57, of Marshall, IL passed away 12:10 AM Sunday, January 5, 2014 in the emergency room at Union Hospital in Terre Haute, IN. He was farmer in the Clarksville area. He was born June 19, 1956 at Terre Haute, IN, the son of Keith and Rosabelle Fox Walters. Surviving are a son and daughter-in-law, Allen and Carrie Walters of Marshall, IL; a granddaughter, Haley Walters; his mother of Marshall; a sister and brother-in-law, Cindy and Roger Shotts of Marshall; a brother, Phillip Walters of Paris, two nieces and one nephew, Kiley Reger, Christi Wilson and Jeremy Shotts; great nieces and nephews, Maci Wilson, Lily Shotts, Caiden Reger, Cash Reger and Lathan Shotts. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, Kent Walters. He was a member of the Clarksville Baptist Church, former Director of the Clark Co. Soil and Water district and now an Associate Director of that organization. He was vice president of the Clarksville Mutual Telephone Co. and a member of the Clark Co. Farm Bureau. He was featured in the Oct.-Nov. edition of Farm & Ranch Living regarding of the operation of their family farm. Services in honor of his life will be 10:00 AM Monday at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall with Bro. Jeff Loper officiating. Burial will be in the Clarksville Cemetery.
