Carmen Finkbiner, 75, of Marshall, IL passed away Friday, Sept. 6, 2024 in Indianapolis, IN. She was born Oct. 8, 1948 in the Philippines. She married Dale D. Finkbiner on May 2, 1981 at Charlotte, Michigan and he preceded her in death on Dec.19, 2015. Surviving is her daughter, Summer (Jesse) Murphy of O’Fallon, IL; grandchildren, Sawyer Murphy, Walker Murphy and Tanner Murphy; a brother-n-law, David (Brenda) Finkbiner; a nephew, Christipher (Charity) Finkbiner & family, Alishia (Tyler) Morrison & family and Ashleigh (Ryan) Smith & family; her loving partner, Nelson Zucker and many friends in the community. She was a member of the Zion United Methodist Church and had been attending the Marshall Congregational Church. Carmen had been a member of a Filipino dance team, had formerly bowled for many years and had volunteered at the Marshall Food and Clothing Bank. She loved to garden and had formerly been employed at the Marshall IGA and the Marshall Advocate. Visitation will be 12 to 2 PM Friday at Pearce Funeral Home with a service in honor of her life at 2 PM with Pastor Steve Rocky officiating. Burial will be in the Zion Cemetery.
