Charles N Rose, 79, of Marshall, IL passed away at 12:05 AM Monday September 14, 2026 at The Gibson Family Hospice Center in Terre haute, IN. He was born on June 2, 1947 in Paris, IL to Harold M, Sr and Virginia (Guinnup) Rose. He married LuEllen Kile on July 6, 1968 at the Marshall Missionary Baptist Church in Marshall, IL. He formerly worked at Clark County FS, Strohm Oil, Great Dane, and Jadcorp w Teamsters Local #135. He is survived by his wife, of 58 years, LuEllen Rose of Marshall, IL, Daughter Gretchen (Vincent) Carona of Marshall, IL, a son Christopher Eric Rose of St. Louis, MO., five Grandchildren Brenna (Robert) DeBerry of Robinson, IL, Zia Beltz of Terre Haute, IN; Leighton Beltz of Indianapolis, IN; Amelia Rose of Sr. Louis, MO; and William Rose of Sprinfield, MO; Two Great Grandchildren Robbie Morley and Gage Brown, and One sister Martha “Marty” Rose of Bend, OR. He was preceded in death by Three Brothers Harold Rose Jr.; Ralph Rose; and Jimmy Rose Charlie was a member of the Marshall High School class of 1968, Marshall Baptist church where he served in many roles including deacon and Sunday school director. He was also a Volunteer fire fighter with the Marshall Fire protection district for over 40 years, where he was also on the rescue squad and dive teams. Funeral Services will be held at the Marshall Baptist Church at 2:00 PM on Thursday September 17, 2026 with Bro. Paul Cooper Officiating. Burial will follow in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be from 11:00 AM until Service time at the church. Memorial contributions may be made to either the Marshall Fire Protection District or to Marshall Baptist Church
