Craig L. Batson, 61, of Marshall, IL passed away 6:05 AM Monday, Dec. 29, 2025 in Casey Rehab and Nursing at Casey, IL. He was born Nov. 14, 1964, the son of Marion Batson Jr.and Joyce Pruiett Batson. In addition to his mother, Joyce Freeman Wilke, he was preceded in death by a son, Jon and brothers, Curt Batson, Carrick Batson and J.D. Freeman. Surviving are his father of Brazil, IN; children, Nathan Batson, Ashland Clouse, Lyle Richards and Taylor Price; two sisters, Chris (Andy) Edwards of Casey, IL and Denise (Mike) Young of Paris, IL and 9 grandchildren. Craig was a strong willed individual and loved the out-of-doors. He loved to fish and loved mushroom hunting. He had the ability to sniff out mushrooms and he loved the fresh air. A lover of animals he favorite dogs were Scrappy and Sassy and Ginger was his beloved cat. Boxing was a sport he truly enjoyed as well as being a true fan of the Green Bay Packers and watching Fox News for hours on end. Visitation will be 12 Noon until 2:00 PM Friday, Jan. 2nd at Pearce Funeral Home with a Service of Remembrance at 2:00 PM. Cremation will follow.
