Debra Jean (Debbie) Franklin, 57, of Terre Haute, IN went to be the Lord 12:50 PM Monday, March 5, 2012 in Davis Gardens at Terre Haute, IN. She was born March 31, 1954 at Chicago, IL, the daughter of William Dillion and Norma Jean Greaver Dillion. Surviving is the love of her life for the past 38 years, Vernon Franklin; a daughter, Candy (Brad) Franklin of Terre Haute, IN; a son, Chris (Veronica) Franklin of Marshall, IL; four grandchildren, Desirae Franklin, Porscha Condry, twins, Raidyn and Abbi Franklin and baby-to-be, Franklin; her adoptive father, John Wenk Jr.; siblings, Tim (Jennifer) Wenk, Terri (Wes) Baker, Joe (Jan) Wenk, Pamela Knight, Jerry Dillion and Mike (Hester) Wenk and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her mother, her father; her step mother, Fran Wenk and a brother, John Wenk III. Debbie enjoyed lots of things in life, including spending time with friends and family, going to bingo, setting up her booth at festival, but enjoyed her grandkids most of all. They were the light of her life. Whether she was watching one of them play ball or just enjoying their company at dinner, she loved them with all her heart. Services in honor of her life will be 6:00 PM (CST) at the Marshall Congregation Church, 202 N. 6th St., Marshall, IL with Pastor Tim Duke officiating. Cremation will follow services. Visitation will be from 4:00 PM until service time Friday at the church. In lieu of flowers, it is requested by her family to make contributions to the Debbie Franklin Memorial Fund
