Dennis R. Morris, 35, of Marshall, IL passed away Tuesday, May 12, 2015 at Terre Haute, IN. He was an officer at the Federal Penitentiary at Terre Haute, IN where he served on the Disturbance Control Team.

Denny was born Dec. 16, 1979 at Terre Haute, IN, the son of David Morris and Denita McConchie Morris.

Surviving is his wife, Chatty; two sons, Drew Morris and Gage Morris; a daughter, Maddie Morris; his father, David Morris of Marshall; a brother, D.J. (Davina) Morris of Fl; a niece, Isabelle Morris; a nephew, Dalton Morris; an aunt, Kathy Morris; and three uncles, Darrell McConchie, David McConchie and Douglas "Tony" McConchie. He was preceded in death by his mother and grandparents, Bob and Pat Morris and Dean and Doris McConchie.

He had been employed by the Federal Prison System for the past 12 years and had previously been employed by the Clark Co. Sheriff's Dept. He was a board member of the Marshall Baseball League and was an avid St. Louis Cardinals Baseball fan. He truly enjoyed hunting and coaching his children.

Services in honor of his life will be 1:00 PM Saturday at the Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall. Cremation will follow services. Visitation will be 3-7 PM Friday at the funeral home.
