Doris Jean Murphy of Marshall, IL passed away 1:52 AM Thursday at Cobblestone Crossings Health Campus in Terre Haute, IN. She was born Aug. 13, 1930 in Bloomington, IN, the daughter of Roy Baxter and Vergie Crabtree Baxter.

Surviving are three daughters, Cindy (Bruce) Robertson of Charlotte, NC, Tracey (Gary) Thompson and Shelly (Mike) Switzer both of Marshall; a son, Guy Murphy of Charleston, IL; grandchildren, Dane Thompson, Mack Thompson, Seyller Robertson, Wade Switzer, Bryant Robertson, Lucas Thompson, Shanna Harris and Libbey Robertson; nine great grandchildren and a brother, Archie (Nancy) Baxter of Martinsville, IN. She was preceded in death by a son, John 'Ennis; a brother, Lou Baxter and two previous husbands, Dr. Maurice "Mort" Ennis and Ron Murphy.

Doris was a member of the Marshall Art League and the Marshall Women's Club.

Graveside services will be 10:30 AM Saturday, August 15th at the Marshall Cemetery. There will be no visitation. Memorial contributions may be given to the Gaslight Art Colony or the Marshall Schools Foundation.
