Dorothy M. Lashbrook, 88, of Marshall, IL passed away 7:14 PM Monday, Dec. 1, 2014 from complications of Alzheimer's surrounded by her family in the home on the family farm where she and her husband had lived for 70 years.
She was born Oct. 30, 1926 at Dennison, IL, the daughter of Aaron A. Weaver and Clova Campbell Weaver. She married William Robert Lashbrook on February 7, 1944 at Marshall, IL. Dorothy was a member of Trinity United Methodist Church for over 60 years. She enjoyed being a member of D.A.R. and volunteering at the Marshall Clothing Bank as long as her health permitted her to do so.
She is survived by her husband; four children, Sharon Kay (Nick) Pearson of Greencastle, IN, Barbara (Forest) Felling of Holladay, UT. Robert Lashbrook of Marshall, IL and Nancy (Vern) Nicholson of Marshall, IL; grandchildren, Tom (Josmary) Pearson, Paul (Megan) Pearson, Mark (Lynn) Pearson, Peter (Tiffany) Pearson, Mitchell (Sharon) Felling, Quentin Lashbrook, Sean Lashbrook, Jason Lashbrook, Amanda (Kevin) Schipp and Alison (Chad) Weber; 30 great grandchildren; a brother, Robert (Sally) Weaver of Marshall, IL and several nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by three brothers, Marion Weaver, Leland Weaver and Donald Weaver and a sister, Louise Becker.
Services in honor of her life and recognition of her faith will be 10:30 AM Friday at Pearce Funeral Home with Rev. Wayne Glabe officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Thursday and prior to services on Friday at the funeral home.
