Emily Ann Zschau, 84, of Terre Haute, IN, formerly of Marshall, IL passed away 7:47 PM Wednesday, Sept. 9, 2015 in Regional Hospital at Terre Haute.
She was born Sept. 24, 1930 at Columbus, IN, the daughter of Clifford Spurgin and Eva M. Cassada Spurgin. She married Arthur A. Zschau on Nov. 27, 1955 at Terre Haute and he preceded her in death on April 18, 2012.
Surviving are a daughter, Susan (Terry) Louder milk of Terre Haute; a son, Jeff Zschau of Terre Haute; two grandchildren, Molly McDaniel of Riley, IN and Benjamin (Crystal) Peters of Indianapolis,; two great grandchildren, Piper Rose McDaniel and Eisley Peters; a sister, Susan Reynolds of Terre Haute; a brother, John Spurgin of Evansville, IN; a niece, Sarah (Greg) Gormong; great nephew, Ethan Gormong; great niece, Hannah Gormong and two special friends, Bob and Linda Carpenter of Marshall, IL.
She was preceded in death by a brother, Robert Spurgin. Emily was a member of the Maple Avenue United Methodist Church and the Grace Girls.
She was a member of Beta Sigma Phi for over 40 years and loved many types of music including, Reba McIntyre, Elvis and Barbara Streisand. She loved flowers, being outside, reading and working puzzles. She was a collector of Barbie Dolls and all types of watches. One of her greatest joys was being with her grandchildren and great grandchildren.
