Frances Alfair Ramsey was born April 2, 1922 in West Terre Haute, IN to Dan and Zella Mae Harmon. She went to be with our Lord on Sunday, June 25, 2017 at Heritage Health in Mendota Illinois, surrounded by her three children. She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers Floyd McClaskey, Norman Harmon and Danny Harmon, her sister Luciel Siverly, her sister-in-law Rosemary Harmon, her nephews Larry and Robert Siverly, Joe and Norman Harmon Jr., her nieces Susie Harmon and Vicky Warwick; her great-great granddaughter, Hope Wilkens and her beloved husband, James Edward Ramsey. Frances (Alfair,Al) and Jim enjoyed golfing, racing, traveling and spending time with their friends and family until his passing in 1991. Alfair remained in Terre Haute where she continued to enjoy spending time with her friends and family, playing cards, gardening, traveling, attending her church and bowling up until the age of 85! In 2011, she moved to Barrington, IL and later Mendota, IL. Alfair was a kind, loving, soft spoken and faithful Christian and a great prayer warrior for those she met and loved. Everyone who came to know her, loved her. Alfair is survived by her brother Don Harmon and sister Doris Stinson; her three children Jean Forsythe (Gerald), Mike Ramsey (Susan) and Kimberly Grey (James); twenty grandchildren, Michelle Fawcett(Walter), Marsha Forsythe, Monica Breslow (Robert), Melissa Bernadette (Gregg), James Ramsey (Simone), Nicole Ross (Dan), Nina Wade (Shane), Matt Comer (Mary), David Grey (Stacy), Sam Grey, Jennifer Ketchum (Jay). Frances had thirty-one great grandchildren Britini Wilkens (Matthew), Brooke Fawcett, Blake Bell (Ian), Gerald Fawcett (Madeline), Caylee and Colton Fournier, Paige Bernadette, Taylor and Lauren Ramsey, Lucas, Melissa, Levi, Mia and Lincoln Ross, Chase and Brody Davis, Ben, Brady and Brooklyn Wade, Noah, Isaac and Faith Comer, Charlize and Sadie Grey, Chase and Paton Grey, Zane Windom, Nolan Ketchum; one great-great grandchild Hunter Wilkens, along with many dear nieces and nephews Sheri Kastigar (John), Lisa Welsh (Terry), Ronald Harmon (Susie), Curtis Harmon (Mary Jo), Jeff Harmon, Dale Siverly (Jenny), Alberta Siverly, Norman Siverly (Carolyn), Jerry Siverly (Eva), Gary Sivelry (Becky), Rod Harmon (Brenda), Jared Kastigar (Lori),, Tashina Baer (Robert), Cody Welsh (Lindsay), Brooke Fattal (Jeff), Rocco, Stella and Sienna Baer, Grady Kastigar.

The funeral service will be held on Thursday, June 29, 2017 at 10:00 AM at Pearce Funeral Home, 314 S. 6th St., Marshall, IL. Frances (Alfair) will then be laid to rest next to her beloved husband and best friend, James E. Ramsey at Forsythe Cemetery in Marshall, IL. The family of Frances Alfair Ramsey would like to extend our gratitude to all the staff at Heritage Health Senior Care Facility where she lived this past year and Hospice for the attentiveness and loving care they extended to her.
