Gale Eugene Rinesmith, 61, of Marshall, IL passed away Saturday, July 18, 2026 in Willow Breeze Hospice House at Mattoon, IL. He was born February 15, 1965 at Paris, IL, the son of Chester Rinesmith and Novella Stang Rinesmith. He was preceded in death by his father and a brother, David. Surviving are his mother of Vermillion, IL; siblings, Bill Rinesmith, Randy Rinesmith, Deanna (Russ) Whitington, Tish Butler, Pam (Chris) Godley, Sarah (Larry) Kelshimer, Ronnie (Susie) Rinesmith and Chad Rinesmith and nieces and nephews, Billy Rinesmith Jr., Chris Rinesmith, Nicholas Whitington, Erica Whitington, Amanda (Nathan) Bell, John (Erica) Woods, Ashley (Matt) Averill, Larry (Bethany) Kelshimer, Lucas (Brandy) Kelshimer, Stephanie Butler, Matt Butler, Alex Butler and Jonathon (Mindy) Maloney. Gale was a faithful member of the West Union Church of the Nazarene. He was a devoted fan of the St. Louis Cardinals, Chicago Bears, NASCAR and U. of I. sports teams. He was a 1984 graduate of Paris High School. Visitation will be 4-8 PM Friday, July 24th at Pearce Funeral Home. A service in honor of his life will be 10:00 AM Saturday at the funeral home with Pastor John Cody officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery.
