Harry W. "Harry The Dutchman" Huyberts, 86, of Marshall, IL, formerly of West Terre Haute, IN passed away 4:57 AM Friday, May 23, 2014 in Union Hospital at Terre Haute, IN. A man of hard work and of high business standards, he was a retired self-employed contractor. He was born June 24, 1927 in Boxtel, Holland, the son of Marinus and Hendrika Hoezen Huyberts. Surviving are his children, Annie, Petra, Joke, Martien, Henrie and William all of Holland; his siblings, Martine, Johanna and Adrianus all of Holland; ten grandchildren; four great grandchildren and a special friend Louise Steele. He was preceded in death by a daughter, Rita and siblings, Martinus, Antonius, Johannus, Henrika, Wilhelmus, Albertus and Gerdina. He was of the Catholic Faith. Harry moved to the United States of America 48 years ago and later started his own business and had many clients throughout the Wabash Valley. He enjoyed being around people and loved to play euchre. He was also an avid fisherman and hunter. Services in honor of his life will be 10:00 AM Wednesday at Pearce Funeral Home with Rev. Mike Haag of St. Mary's Catholic Church of Marshall officiating. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery at Marshall. Visitation will be 4-7 PM Tuesday at the funeral home. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the American Heart Association.
