Hylda J. Claypool, 86, of Marshall, IL passed away 23:45 PM Thursday, Nov. 17, 2022 in Marshall Rehabilitation and Nursing. She was born Feb. 1, 1936 at Castle Finn, the daughter of Robert and Bertha McCleary. On Feb. 8, 1952 she married Donald R. Claypool and he preceded her in death on Aug. 18, 1994. Surviving are three children, Raymond Scott (Lisa Marie) Claypool of Marshall, Rhonda Jeane Claypool of Casey, IL and Robert Jeffrey Claypool of Marshall; grandchildren, Gretchen Leigh Claypool Alvarez (Bryan Thomas) Alvarez (Child of Scott), Justin Lee Claypool (Child of Scott), Robert Joseph Claypool (Child of Rhonda), Jessica Nicole Claypool (Steven)Sorriakoff (Child ofJeff), Lacie Renee Claypool (Child ofJeff), Brandon Lee (Chelsea Elise) Claypool (Child of Scott), Zachary Raymond (Jessica Lee) Claypool (Child of Jeff) and Nathan Lee Claypool (Child of Scott); great grandchildren, Allyx Brianna Claypool (Child of Justin), Carson Zachary Claypool (Child of Jessica), Nicholas Brian Claypool (Child of Justin), Ryder Dean Montgomery (Child ofJessica), Alexander Michael Claypool (Child of Zachary), Willow Quinn Sohriakoff (Child of Jessica), Claira Elise Claypool (Child ofBrandon), Andrew Lee Claypool (Child ofBrandon) and Jaxon Thomas Alvarez (Child of Gretchen) and a sister, Opal Steel of Travers City, MI. In addition to her husband and parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Lee and siblings, Orville, Martha May, Jerry, George, Eloise, Paul, Grover, Wayne and Robert. Hylda was a graduate of Marshall High School and a member of O.E.S. Chapter #739. Prior to her retirement she had been employed by the Clark County Treasurer’s Office, Clark County Title Co. and the Clark Co. Economic Development office. Services in honor of her life will be 10:30 AM Wednesday at Pearce Funeral Home with Pastor Tim Duke officiating. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery.
