Jerry Monroe Catt, 65, of Marshall, IL passed away 1:47 AM Tuesday, Dec. 1, 2015 in Union Hospital at Terre Haute, IN.

He was born March 29, 1950 in Washington, IN, the son of Walter Monroe and Anna Lou Doades Catt. He is survived by his wife of 43 years, Betty M. Morris Catt; two daughters, Stacey J. English and Barbara J. Lovstad both of Marshall, IL; a son from a previous marriage, Jeffery A. Catt of Evansville, IN; six grandchildren, "C.J." Catherine (Cole) Keefer, Joshua E. (Alisa) Lowry, Chassie J. English, Chase J. English, Elizabeth JM Lovstad and Hunter JR Lovstad, three great grandchildren, Emma J. Hayes, Garren J. Hayes and Liam M. Keefer all of Marshall, IL; a brother, David and Georgia (Trayler) Catt of Velpen, IN; three sister-in-laws, Linda Sue (Richard) Hanners, Patricia Lynn (Marion) Johnson and Vickie Hyatt; a brother-in-law, Clyde Lee (Stacey) Hyatt Jr. He was preceded in death by his parents; sisters, Janice Austin, Jackie Walford; brother Charles Catt and a nephew, Anthony "Tony" Catt.

Jerry enjoyed visiting with family and friends, mowing, NASCAR, camping and picking on his girls over football games. He worked on the railroad for 21 years and later for CTM for 11 years until he was forced to retire for health reasons.

A visitation will be held 4-7 PM Friday at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be private at the Marshall Cemetery. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Lung Association. Online condolences are being accepted at pearcefuneralservices.com.
