John A. Gamble, 82, of Marshall, IL passed away Sunday, Aug. 16, 2026 at his home. He was born Dec. 6, 1943 at Xenia, OH, the son of Vern and Kathryn Harburger Gamble who preceded him in death as well as a brother, Don. Surviving are his wife Donna Downs Gamble; two sons, Mark (Theresa) Gamble of Marshall, IL and Scott (Margaret) Gamble of Freedom, IN; grandchildren, Katie Youngblood, Cody Gamble, Chelsea (Jeff) Lopez, Corey Gamble, Collin Gamble and Caden Gamble and two great grandchildren, Strider Youngblood and Fletcher Cole. He had formerly been employed by United Machine and Tool, AP Machine and Tool and retired from Duke Energy. John had served this country in the U.S. Navy from 1961 to 1967. Services in honor of his life will be 11:00 AM (Central) Friday, Aug. 21st at Pearce Funeral Home. Visitation will be one-hour prior services. Burial will be in Highland Lawn Cemetery at Terre Haute, IN. A gathering for family and friends will follow at the Fraternal Order Of The Eagles, 823 Poplar St., Terre Haute, IN.
