John Arthur Huston, 86, of Paris, IL, formerly of Covington, IN, passed peacefully in his home surrounded by family on January 3, 2026. John was born to John James and Emily Josephine Richey Huston on March 15, 1939 at Dudley, IL. John attended Perrysville High School and graduated in 1957. He married Alberta Callahan on Feb. 4, 1958 and together they raised two sons, Dennis and Kevin. John spent his final years residing in Paris, IL after moving from Covington, IN. Over the years John had a variety of occupations. He had been a meat cutter at Jones Slaughter House, an automobile mechanic at Bill Clasen's Chevrolet, West Central IN CO-OP and had also been a school bus mechanic at Superior Coach Sales, Inc. He truly enjoyed gardening, fishing and spending time with his family. John lived and loved fiercely and will be dearly missed. Surviving are his wife Alberta Callahan Huston; sons, Dennis Huston and Kevin (Shelly) Huston; grandchildren, Megan, Denise (Justin), and Travis (Shelby); six great grandchildren, Kyndall, Ann-Marie, Kynsley, Maddox, Kairi and Jensen; a sister.Becky Huston (Fred) Brock of Veedersburg, IN and a sister-in-law, Carolee Huston of Williamsport, IN. In addition to be preceded in death by his parents, he was preceded in death by two brothers, Floyd (Mary - Deceased) Huston and James Huston; a sister, Lilly Huston Robinson and a brother-in-law, Marvin Robinson. Services in honor of his life will be 2:00 PM Wednesday, Jan. Jan. 7th at Pearce Funeral Home, 314 S. 6th St., Marshall, IL. Visitation will be after 12:00 Noon Wed. at the funeral home.
