Joyce E. Berry, 84, of Marshall, IL passed away Thursday, Sept.10, 2026 in Heartland Manor at Casey, IL. She was born March 21, 1942 in Clinton County, Ohio the daughter of Omar and Hazel Opal Cooper Mussetter. She was first married to Donald Berry who passed away Sept. 19, 2013. Shye later married Robert Smithson on May 4, 2018 the First United Methodist Church in Marshall and he survives. Also surviving are two stepsons, Robert (Heather) Smithson Jr. of Shelbyville, IL and Chris (Marlene) Smithson of Marshall, IL and a sister, Judy Howard of Tucson, AZ. She was preceded in death by two sisters, Kay Reveal and Jean Bagford. She had been employed by NCR at Dayton, OH. She had also been a medical technician and CNA at various locations. Graveside services will be 2:00 PM (Central) Tuesday, Sept. 15th Union Church Cemetery at Fountain Run, Ky.
