June P. (Davidson) Amidon, 93, of New Port Richey, FL, formerly of Marshall, IL passed away March 28, 2012. She had formerly been employed as a social worker and a teacher. She was born August 5, 1918 at Marshall, IL, the daughter of Dick and Polly Moyer Davidson. She was married to Wayne F. Amidon who preceded her in death on Oct. 29, 2000. Surviving are two sons, Douglas J. (Christine) Amidon of New Port Richey, FL and Geoffrey R. (Julianne) Amidon of Marshville, NC; grandchildren, Sean (Heather) Amidon of Charlotte, NC and Douglas E. (Fianc̩e - Christine) Amidon of Alaska; great granddaughter, Bennie Amidon of Charlotte, NC; a great grandson, Forrest Amidon of Alaska; nieces and nephews, Frances (Jan) Staggs of Springfield, IL, James D. (Marlene) Davidson of Martinsville, IL and Patricia (Phil) Hahn of Markham, IL; numerous great nieces, nephews and cousins; special friends, Alice Mae Goodrich of New Hampshire, Denice Howe of Port Richey, FL, Betty and Bob Perry of Patchogoe, NY and her beloved cat, Nutzy. She was preceded in death by three brothers, William Davidson, James Davidson and Robert Davidson and a niece, Pamela Davidson. Services in honor of her life will be 1:00 PM Wednesday, May 2nd at Pearce Funeral Home in Marshall. Burial will be in the Marshall Cemetery. Visitation will be 11:00 AM until service time Wednesday at the funeral home. For those desiring, memorial contributions may be made to the Marshall Cemetery Association.
