Kenneth Andrew Jensen, 92, passed away 10:10 PM Saturday, July 15, 2023 at Twin Lakes Rehab in Paris, IL. A graveside service will be held in the Marshall Cemetery at 1:00 PM, August 12, 2023. Pearce Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mr. Jensen was born July 14, 1931 in Chicago, Illinois. He grew up in the Northbrook and Glenview areas, the son of Norman and Ethel (Grundman) Jensen. He married Marilyn Jane Lewis on September 1, 1957 at the First United Methodist Church in Marshall. She preceded him in death. He is survived by a son Steven Lawrence (LuAnn) Jensen; a daughter, Joanna Jane (Kevin Lee) Knoepfel; four grandchildren, Andrew Theodore Jensen, Sarah Marie Jensen, Jenny Irene Knoepfel (Christopher) Burke and Hans William Knoepfel and a great- granddaughter Molly Irene Burke. He was also survived by his four-legged companion Belle. He was preceded in death by his parents and 4 siblings, Roger Jensen, Robert Jensen, Stephen Jensen and Gerald Jensen. Ken Jensen graduated from Northbrook High School in Northbrook, Illinois on June 9, 1949. He then moved to Livingston with his family soon after graduation. He met the love of his life Marilyn Lewis while singing in the choir at First United Methodist Church in Marshall, Illinois. He was working at the Marshall Dulaney Bank at the time. After they were married, he accepted a job at Cary State Bank in Cary, Illinois where he worked for 14 years. He then accepted a position as President of the Capron State Bank in Capron, Illinois until his retirement in 1993. After retirement, he and his wife moved back down to Marshall. Ken enjoyed working on his Ford tractors, gardening with his wife and traveling. Memorial donations may be made to the Marshall Public Library. Online condolences at pearcefuneralservices.com.
