Leon Macke, 92, of Marshall, IL passed away Saturday, Dec. 7, 2019 in Twin Lakes Rehab and Health Care at Paris, IL. He was born Sept. 4, 1927 at Marshall, IL, the son of Harry and Nellie Baggs Macke. He married Norma J. Beltz on May 29, 1970 at Marshall, IL and she preceded him in death on Nov. 21, 2017. Surviving are a daughter, Connie (Michael) Pruiett Jr. of Marshall and four grandchildren. Surviving are a daughter and her husband, Connie J. and Michael Pruiett Jr. of Marshall, IL; grandchildren, Maddy Kesler, Abraham Pruiett, Michael Pruiett III and Iris Pruiett and several nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by seven brothers, Fenton, Virgil, Wayne, Herschel, Glenn, Norman and Herbert and five sisters, Mary Linton, Ruby Jane Macke, Dorothy Macke, Waneda Finkbiner and Wilma Hoggatt. For many years he was employed by the former Knowles Stockyards and he retired from the Quality Lime Co. of Marshall. He was a member of the Moose. Leon always enjoyed farming and messing around outside as well as tractors, older country music and the Indianapolis Colts. Services in honor of his life will be 1:30 PM Tuesday at Pearce Funeral Home with Pastor Billie Ray Ulrey officiating. Burial will be beside his wife at St. Mary’s Cemetery.
